Sun In The Island sounds fantastic. The reason why it is so special is difficult to put a finger on, is it the athemic chorus, the floaty vocal bridges or the regular injection of overdriven guitar ?
Then I realised that except for the chorus and the drum breakdown it never repeats itself, even the verses have slightly different melody lines.
The genius of it is that you don't notice unless you look, it is seemeless, complete, when it could so easily sound disjointed. So don't look, just enjoy a perfect piece of indie rock by Swimming that will keep its fascination for play after play after play.......
