There is a balance that needs to be found in hard rock tracks between delivering the energy of the performance whilst conveying the song underneath. Bristol based Roxy's Wardrobe have managed to achieve this with their second single release.
Blitz And Pieces is the best up-front rock track I've heard in weeks. Thumping drums and bass with a great guitar sound. The counter-play between lead and distant backing vocals in the verses works perfectly, lifting it a level, as does the winding down outro.
Their first single Chemicals.Perfume.Burn, with a bit more of a grunge feel, is also worthy of a listen.
